President’s Weekend. We all have opinions. We all have our likes and dislikes; our biases pro or against; our ideas of what makes us happy or sad. Our Founders and Framers knew this and wanted to separate personal opinion from objective debate and thoughtful decision-making. So many of our political leaders have forgotten the words from the Declaration of Independence that state: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed, by their Creator, with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.” The Founders knew that the future Government of the United States should not attempt to legislate that which is determined by individual passions and desires. You should be allowed to live your LIFE, enjoy your LIBERTY, and pursue those things that bring HAPPINESS to you and your family, provided that such pursuits do not infringe on the Life, Liberty, and Happiness of others. Yet, today, we engage in public debate and displays of support for programs and policies that limit life, liberty, and happiness. We do this because our debate on social issues is now dominated by passionate OPINION, rather than RATIONAL DISCOURSE. Of course, the vast majority of us want to do what we feel is right for our communities, but when it comes to Government funded programs that claim to solve our problems, maybe we should take a step back from our personal opinions, do a little research, and provide a THOUGHTFUL response. #LibertyQuotes #SuccessQuotes #YouEconomy #BelieveInYourself #MicroBusiness #EntrepreneurLife #MAGA #MakeCaliforniaGreatAgain #SaturdayInspiration
